Account setup

Create an account and save your login details

Start on the account creation page in the VPNBig user dashboard. No email address is required; create an account with a username and password. Choose a username that's easy to remember but doesn't reveal your identity. Use a unique password that you don't reuse on other websites. Before submitting the form, check your spelling, capitalization, keyboard input, and any extra spaces.

Once you're in the account overview, make sure it shows the account you just created before choosing a plan. Save your username and password in a trusted password manager rather than relying on your browser to remember them. Since account creation doesn't require an email address, don't assume email recovery will be available. If you have trouble signing in, follow the dashboard prompts or see the Help Center for details.

If you already have an account, just sign in to it; there's no need to create another one when switching devices. Use your account to manage orders, subscriptions, and support tickets. The client is a separate interface that handles the connection. It's normal not to see any routes yet. Next, choose a plan, then return to the account overview to get the matching subscription.

Plans and orders

Choose a plan and check your payment status

Open the plans section in the dashboard and choose between a monthly subscription and a data package. Monthly subscriptions suit regular use. Current options are ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data allowances reset monthly on your activation date, not on the first day of each calendar month. To choose a tier, consider how you'll use it: video streaming, app downloads, and file syncing usually use more data than browsing text. Then factor in your own habits.

Data packages are used as you go and never expire. Current options are ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB. They are billed differently from monthly subscriptions, so check the plan name and terms rather than judging by price alone. This page covers the setup process; see the Plans page for full pricing and terms. If you upgrade a monthly subscription mid-cycle, the price difference is converted into remaining days.

After choosing a plan, check the amount, data allowance, and billing method on the order confirmation page. Pay with Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT as instructed. Then return to the user dashboard and check that the order and subscription statuses have updated. If the payment page shows success but the dashboard hasn't updated yet, refresh and check the existing order rather than placing another one. If you still have questions, submit the relevant order details through a dashboard support ticket. Don't post payment details publicly.

VPNBig supports unlimited simultaneous devices and offers a 7-day money-back guarantee. You can manage subscriptions for multiple devices through one account, but data usage still follows the terms of your selected plan. Once your subscription is active, move on to getting your link. Creating an account or placing an unpaid order does not activate a subscription.

Personal subscription

Get your subscription from the user dashboard

Return to the account overview and look for the subscription or client import option. This personal subscription configuration lets your client retrieve the server list; it's not an installer or login details for a streaming service. First check your plan status and available data in the dashboard, then choose an import method for your installed or intended client. If there's an import option for your client, use it to reduce the chance of missing characters when copying the link manually.

When you import automatically, your browser may ask whether to open the client. This passes the configuration to an app on your device. Check that the app name matches the client you're using, then allow it to open. If the client isn't installed yet, install it in the next step and return to the overview to import. There's no need to keep clicking the same prompt.

For manual import, use the dashboard's copy option to get the full subscription link, then paste it into the subscription URL field in your client. Don't paste it into a server name, search box, or individual server address field, and don't edit its parameters. The link may contain information needed to access your personal configuration, so keep it as secure as a password. Don't share it in group chats, public forums, or screenshots. When contacting support, provide the error message and only the account or order details needed; don't include the full subscription URL.

After importing, have the client retrieve or update the subscription. The configuration has been read only when the server list appears. If you see a configuration name but no servers, check the update result before trying to connect. For help with failed link copying, incompatible configuration formats, or subscription update errors, visit the Help Center. This guide continues with the standard import process.

Instructions by platform

Install a client and import your subscription

In the user dashboard's client downloads section, choose the platform for your device. Use the VPNBig client and instructions provided there whenever available. Sign in to download the Windows, macOS, Android, or Linux client; you don't need a purchased plan first. Downloading the installer and getting an active subscription are separate steps. iOS has different requirements: you need a purchased, unexpired plan to access the actual download link. The sections below show where to import on common platforms; button labels may vary.

Get the client

Windows: Add a subscription in configuration settings

Choose the Windows client in the dashboard, install it as instructed, and open it. Return to the account overview and use the import option for your client. If your browser asks to open an app on your device, confirm and continue. In the client, open configuration or subscription management and make sure the imported configuration appears. Then update it and set it as the active configuration. To do this manually, find the option to add a subscription or import from a link, paste your personal subscription link, and save. Then update the server list.

Go to the connection screen once the server list appears. If other network proxy tools are running on your computer, check which app is handling the connection to avoid changing system network settings in multiple places and making the results hard to diagnose. If your system requests network access, verify which app is making the request and where it came from. If you have questions about installation or permissions, check the dashboard instructions rather than looking for an installer from an unknown source.

macOS: Import your configuration before connecting

Download the macOS client from the dashboard, follow the installation prompts to move it to Applications, and open it. Import works much like it does on Windows: launch the client from the account overview, or add your subscription address in the client's configuration, subscription, or configuration management settings. Save and update the subscription, select the imported configuration, and check the server list. Even if your browser says the app has opened, return to the client and confirm that the configuration was imported successfully.

When connecting, macOS may ask you to allow network settings or a related extension. Check the app shown in the system prompt before proceeding. If another window is covering the authorization prompt, return to the system prompt or settings rather than reinstalling the app. Once authorized, connect in the client. If you've installed the client but haven't selected a configuration, don't use results from a target website to judge whether the route is working.

Android: Allow the system connection request

Choose the Android client in the dashboard, install it as prompted by your device, and open the app. First try importing from the account overview. If the browser doesn't open the app correctly, copy the subscription link manually and choose the option to add a link in the client's subscription management or configuration settings. Give the configuration a recognizable name, paste the full link, save, and update it. Confirm that the servers have loaded and select the configuration you're using.

The first time you connect, your system may show a VPN connection request. Check which app is requesting access, then allow it. The connection icon in the status bar only confirms that a system connection has been established; you still need to verify access to your target service in the next section. If the connection drops when the app moves to the background, check your device's background activity and battery settings for the app, and adjust them as prompted. Don't assume background permissions are the cause if the subscription hasn't been imported successfully.

iOS: Get the client link from the dashboard

In the user dashboard, make sure your plan has been purchased and hasn't expired. Then open the iOS client section and follow the instructions to download the VPNBig client from the App Store. If the dashboard says you need to choose a plan first, return to the plans section and check your subscription status. Don't apply installation steps for other platforms to iOS. Use the download page and client entry provided in the dashboard; this page doesn't offer public installers or alternative download links.

After installation, return to the account overview and choose the import option for your client. If you need to add the subscription manually, paste your personal subscription link into the client's subscription or configuration management settings, save it, and update. When connecting, allow the VPN configuration when prompted by iOS, then check the connection status in the client. Authorization and access to your target service are separate; open the app you want to use and confirm that it works.

Connection checks

Connect to a route and verify it's working

After importing your subscription, first decide which direction you need. If you're outside China and want to access video services or apps in mainland China, choose a route for access to mainland China. For services outside China, choose an international route. The city name helps identify the use case, but a matching city doesn't automatically make a route suitable for every destination. See the global nodes page for route purposes and selection tips. For mainland China video during peak evening hours, try an IEPL dedicated route first, then judge by actual playback.

Select a route in the client, turn on the connection, and make sure the active configuration is enabled. If the client offers rule mode and global mode, follow the dashboard or client instructions for your first setup instead of changing several advanced options at once. In rule mode, rules determine which requests use the route. A regular web page opening successfully doesn't prove that your target app is using the route you expect. Verify access using the service you actually want to reach.

Open the service you want to use and check that its content loads. Then try playing a video, using an app feature, or completing a normal action. An app that was already open may keep an old connection, so close and reopen it before testing again. Whether a video shows particular content can also depend on your account region, content rights, and platform rules. A successful connection doesn't guarantee access to all content. For platform region checks, video quality, and playback errors, read the streaming guide; this page doesn't cover those specific topics.

If the check fails, retrace the steps: confirm your plan status and remaining data, check that the subscription updates and the right configuration is selected, make sure the connection is on, and verify the route direction. Change one thing at a time, then reopen the same service and compare the result to narrow down the cause. If switching routes doesn't help, submit a support ticket from the dashboard. Include your device platform, the error shown in the client, the service you're trying to access, and the steps you've already tried. Hide your subscription and payment details in screenshots.

Once you've verified your connection, repeat the client download, subscription import, and connection checks on your other devices. There's no need to create another account. VPNBig supports unlimited simultaneous devices, but you still need to authorize each device separately and follow your plan's data terms. If the server list changes or your client prompts you to update the subscription, update it in configuration management and check that your selected route still suits your needs.
